Of Horton, MI joined the church militant on June 23, 1941 in Detroit, MI and joined the church triumphant on September 8, 2019 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home at the age of 78. She was the daughter of John and Marie (Stehouwer) King. Norma is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Wierenga; daughter, Carol Wierenga; daughter, Elizabeth “Lee” Wierenga; son, Jon Wierenga; and son, Robert (Kelly) Wierenga; two grandchildren; brother, Robert (Sue) King; sister-in-laws, Ruth and Gladys Wierenga; one niece; three nephews; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Helen (Bill) Posthuma; sister-in-law, Shari King. Norma was a graduate of Calvin College and a life-long learner. She was member of the First Presbyterian Church in Concord. Norma enjoyed history, genealogy, art, paper crafts, therapy dogs, and was an avid reader. She loved to spend time with her family. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at the Concord United Methodist Church, 119 S. Main St., Concord, MI 49237 on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 11:00am with Pastor Tim Marvil officiating.
