Matthew James Ross

Born February 3, 1983 and passed away suddenly on May 5, 2019 at his home at the age of 36. Matt was born in Jackson Michigan where he grew up. He moved to Arizona in 2012 where he resided. Matt is the son of Richard Ross of Jackson, MI and Laurie Kowaleski of Phoenix AZ. He also leaves behind a step-father Ed Kowaleski; brother Ryan Ross (Jessie, Brexton, Cruz); step-brothers and sister Brian Kowaleski, David Kowaleski and Kate (Bryon) Maxwell; his beloved yellow labs, Charlie and Lucy; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins; countless friends and coworkers. Those who knew Matt, even a little, lost a shining light in their lives. He cared about people in the purest way. Matt loved his family and friends for whom they were and always wished the best for them without ever asking for anything in return. Matt had so much goodness, an ever-present smile, and a huge capacity to bring happiness to others. He will be forever missed. A family gathering will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson starting at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 18, 2019 with a service at 4:00 pm with Michael D. Mason officiating; then gathering continuing until 6:00 pm.
