Of Jackson, MI passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at Medilodge of Capital Area, at the age of 91. Marilyn was the daughter of Edmund Lewis and Eva Emma (Eddy) Hughes, born December 5, 1926 in Jackson, MI. She is survived by her daughters, Sheryl M. Hudler and Mary E. (Hudler) Leinweber; son, James L. Hudler; grandsons, Daniel (Savannah) Leinweber and Andrew Leinweber. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Evelyn Hughes, and former husband, Robert J. Hudler. Marilyn was a graduate of Jackson High School and Jackson Business University. For many years, she worked at the Jackson Chamber of Commerce, later she was a secretary/bookkeeper for Modern Machine Tool Company. Marilyn was the church secretary for South Jackson Community Church. She was a member of the Jackson Peace Council, and Alpha Iota Society. Marilyn was a strong supporter of the arts. She played violin, painted water color, wrote poems, and enjoyed reading Shakespeare. A celebration of her life will be held at South Jackson Community Church, 1024 W. Kimmel Road, Jackson, MI 49201 on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM, Pastor Steve Brown officiating, interment South Jackson Cemetery.
