Margaret "Margie" Mary Moskal

Margaret "Margie" Mary Moskal of Jackson, Michigan went to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the age of 60 surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy D’Hondt, born September 19, 1958 in Mt. Clemens, MI. Margie is survived by her loving husband of 39 years Curtis Moskal; her mother, Dorothy D’Hondt; her sons, Joshua and Ryan (Julie); grandchildren, Laila and Hudson; sister, Linda (Mike) Battani; nephew, Joey Battani, and niece, Julie Battani.  She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence D’Hondt.

Margie was a graduate of Utica High School in 1976.  In 1979 she married her husband Curt and later moved to Jackson, MI in 1981.  Margie was a dedicated second grade teacher of CCD at Queen of the Miraculous Medal for 22 years and was a respected employee of Concord Middle School. Most recently, she was the heart and soul of Western Middle School. On a daily basis, the students, staff, and parents were greeted by her loving smile, joyful attitude, and servant heart. She made a difference that goes beyond words. Margie had a passion for gardening and flowers but her fondest moments were spent with her husband enjoying time with her two boys and wonderful grandchildren.  Margie was a kind and loving soul and will be missed by all that knew her. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 11:00am, Father Timothy MacDonald officiating. According to Margie’s wishes cremation will follow. Memorial contributions in memory of Margie may be made to St. Jude’s Foundation or Make a Wish Foundation.

The family will receive friends at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 2:00pm – 9pm with a scripture reading at 8:00pm and on Saturday at the church from 10:00am until the time of Mass.
