Polly passed away at Country Side Care Center June 17, 2019, age 92. This after a long and brave struggle with health issues. She was the daughter of Roy Edgar and Onie Bowling, born March 21, 1927 in Johnston Co., NC. Polly was a long time Jackson County Resident. She was one of 10 sisters and a brother all preceding her in death. She grew up on a small farm during the depression in North Carolina. She met our father Elihu Warner (deceased) after World War II. She worked many occupations, including Auto Manufacturing, Telephone Operator, Secretary, Office Manager and Antique Store Owner to name a few, this while raising 3 children, Christian Gay Warner, Thita Kay Sullivan (deceased) and Gene Warner. Surviving are Chris and Gene (Tammy), Grandsons Shawn Warner and Josh Galvin; granddaughters Arwen Galvin and Shaina Mobley. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Johnny, Kirstin, Gage, James, Patrick, Michael, Lexi, and Xena, as well as her cat Baby. Our mother was an old school, hardworking tough but fair woman. We loved her and continue to love her. She will be missed. We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Country Side Care Center for their love and care for mom during her time with them. A celebration of her life will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 12:00pm; Michael D. Mason officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice.
