Locade Carriere Obituary

Of Brooklyn, MI went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the age of 75. She was the daughter of Jerome and Jeanne (Evarts) Carriere, born December 29, 1943 in Detroit, MI. Locade is survived by her three sons, Timothy (Susan) Rankin, Christopher (Amy) Rankin, and Jeffrey (Melissa) Rankin; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three sisters, Judy Savela, Elizabeth Anderson, and Helen Kelley; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her dog “Little Boi”. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Douglas Dean Rankin; brother, Lawrence “Kip” Carriere; and her parents. Locade was a graduate of St. John High School, and a member of St. Rita Catholic Church in Clarklake, MI. Locade loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. According to her wishes cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held in her memory. The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan, 1169 Oak Valley Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48108.
