Linda Lou (Daniel) Jones

Of Jackson, MI went to be with her Lord on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the age of 70. Linda was the daughter of James Marcus and Francis Marie Daniel, born August 20, 1947 in Waynesboro, Tennessee. She is survived by her loving husband, Barry, of 50 years; three children, Shannon Jones, Wendy McKinnon, and Amber Hollowood; nine grandchildren; mother, Frances Marie Daniel; four siblings, Darwin Daniel, Roberta Odor, Roger Daniel, and Debra DeMoss. Linda was preceded in death by her father. She was a graduate of Taylor Center High School in Taylor, Michigan. After high school she attended Albion College where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics and a Minor in Art. Linda then taught for Jackson Christian High School for 10 years. Along, with her teaching she was a pastor’s wife at three different churches. Linda served on the mission field for 15 years with the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE).  She was a gifted vocalist and artist. Linda loved spending time with her family and serving others. She was a member at Cascades Baptist Church where her husband served as pastor. A celebration of her life will be held at Cascades Baptist Church, 1012 W. High St., Jackson, MI 49203 on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11:00am; Pastor Josh Gelatt and Tom Hollowood officiating. A private interment will take place at Fifield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jackson Christian Schools, 4200 Lowe Road, Jackson, MI 49203.

The family will receive friends at Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm and on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the church from 10:00am until the time of service.
