Kay Kingsley

Born November 6, 1942 in Williamston, Michigan. She was raised by loving grandparents, Reverend Roscoe and Violet Morell. 

Kay married her high school sweetheart, Dennis George Kingsley who proceeded her 21 years ago. 

They had five beautiful children together; Rex Allan (wife Joyce), Deborah Kay, Shelly DeeAnn (husband Rob), Shawna "D'nae" (husband Steve), and Dawn Renee who preceded her into heaven 37 years ago.

Kay has been known as Auntie Kay to many in Spring Arbor and beyond. She ran a daycare and fostered children for over 32 years - rocking babies, potty training, and teaching to tie shoes - she did it all. There was not a lullaby unsung to a child's ear in her home. 

Her smile and bright eyes lit up a room. Even after years of illness, there was always a smile on her face and no complaining to be had. She was the first to every activity at her nursing home, Faith Haven. She looked forward to game days with lifelong friends, organized cook books for everyone in the home and never forgot to write letters to people to let them know how much she cared.

Kay's strength, unconditional love and relentless optimism will live on through the many hearts and lives she has touched. She will be missed dearly and forever loved by many, but we are grateful to have had 76 years of her beautiful soul on this earth. A celebration of her life will be held at Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church 120 E. Main Street, Spring Arbor 49283 on Saturday, November 17, at 11:00 AM, Pastor Darold L. Hill officiating, interment following in Spring Arbor Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Debra Maxwell C/O Watson Funeral Chapel to help with final expenses.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
