Kathryn Irene Gimesky

Age 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 15, 2018. She was born on August 27, 1926 in Saginaw, Michigan. Kathryn married the love of her life, Julius on her birthday, August 27, 1948. She was a loving wife and mother of three surviving children; Carol Gimesky of Novato, CA, Susan Fecko of Grand Rapids, MI, and James Gimesky of Dundee, MI. Kathryn was a wonderful homemaker sewing her daughter's clothes which earned one of them "Best Dressed" in Junior High. A home cooked meal for all of us was enjoyed when her husband came home from work. Her Pies were the "Best in the Midwest." At the summer cottage in South Haven, she would get prompt service with maintenance due to her pie making skills! She had a lively personality that made her a favorite of all her seven grandchildren, Nicole, Jason, Brian, Jenna, Lauren, Allison, and Grace; one great-grandchild, Christian and friends. Kathryn was employed for many years in the Jackson Public School System as a teacher assistant with special needs children. She made them laugh and they enjoyed the time spent with her. Kathryn enjoyed many camping trips with her family across the country and later trips with her husband Julius of 69 years. Her family wishes to thank the Threshold Choir of Ann Arbor for their soothing, spiritual music which was so comforting when it was most needed.
