Joyce Catherine Kuntz

Joyce Catherine Kuntz of Jackson, MI went to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at the age of 85. She was the daughter of Leonard and Marybelle (Ford) Cobb, born July 10, 1934 in Jackson, MI. Joyce is survived by two sons, Steve (Jan) Kuntz, and Mike (Connie) Kuntz; 6 grandchildren, Alissa, Christopher, Brian, Joshua, Brent, and Jason; 8 great-grandchildren; sister and best friend, Helen Burgess; daughter in-law, Beth Kuntz; brother in-law, Jerry Kuntz; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie; son, Mark Kuntz; daughter in-law, Debbie Kuntz; her parents; one brother, and two sisters.

Joyce worked as a secretary for Jackson Public Schools where she retired after 30 plus years of service. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Joyce loved to travel, play games, go to the casino, and spend time with her family and friends. She was member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jackson. The family would like to give a special thank you to the caring staffs of Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice and Arbor North for their care of Joyce.  A celebration of her life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 743 W. Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI 49201 on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 11:00am; Pastor James D. Hegedus officiating. Interment at Roseland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the St. Jude’s Children Miracle Network.

The family will receive friends at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am.
