Janice Davis Birkenshaw, 89, of Jackson, MI, formerly of Royal Oak, MI passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019 after a struggle with Alzheimer’s. She was born May 19, 1930 in Cincinnati, OH, to Philip Wayne Pettett and Virginia Hanley Pettett. Janice was recently preceded in death by her husband, George Birkenshaw. She is survived by her sons, Robert Davis and Philip Davis; three grandchildren, Kyle Davis, Molly Lind, and Emily Powers. Janice thoroughly enjoyed helping people and spent the majority of her life performing nursing and administrative duties for pediatrician offices. She was an avid reader, especially topics on the Civil and Revolutionary Wars. According to her wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
