Jane Wurth Obituary

Life-long Jackson resident Jane Rees Wurth, 87, died at Highland Assisted Living and Memory Care. She was a very private woman with strong opinions and even stronger loyalties. She will be missed by many. Jane was preceded in death by her loving husband, Howard Joseph Wurth; her parents, Anne and Daniel Rees; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Tinkey Rees. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Bert) Vander Lee of Jackson, and her son, James (Medy) Wurth of Greensboro, NC; grandsons, Stephen (Briana) Vander Lee of Wooster, OH, Timothy (Shanna) Vander Lee  of Hudsonville, MI, and Jonathan Vander Lee of Lakewood, CA; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Madeline of Hudsonville, MI; and special friend, Sandra (Don) Richard of Jackson. Jane graduated from Jackson High School in 1949. She was a Golden member of the Women’s Club of Jackson, and until poor health prevented, one of “the Tuesday Girls.” Anyone who knew her remembered her passionate love for Scottish Terriers. Visitation will be at Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 10:00am-12:00pm, with a private family graveside service to follow at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
