82, of Parma, MI, passed away at home on Thursday, September 20, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Jim was the son of John and Verna Risner, born December 27, 1935 in Vanlue, Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; five children, Terry (Gary) Trumble, Sherry (Rick) Cuatt, Laura (Sam Hollis) Risner Stevens, Julie (Scott Gemmell) Cleary, and Lisa (Al) Stupyra; 10 grandchildren, Heather, Ronnie, Jimmie, Tasha, Michelle, Lisa, Kellie, Kalvin, Stacy, and Tyler; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, John Risner, and Tom (Linda) Risner; sisters, Ellen Lyons, Laura (Rick) Wilds, and Carol (Jon) Parcher; and good friends, Bob James and Larry Root. Jim was preceded in death by his first wife, Dolores Hession; his parents; one brother, Ronnie Risner; two sisters, Janet Hunt, and Cora Morr; and sister-in-law, Mary Risner. He worked at Corning Glass until their closure in 1974. Jim then worked as a carpenter for Ruff & Kreger for several years. He enjoyed listening to country and blue grass music, camping, family gatherings (especially during fireworks), poker, and traveling in the motor home. A celebration of his life will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Parma, MI on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 11:00am; John Woods officiating. Interment at North Parma Cemetery.
