James Stetler Obituary

Of Jackson, Michigan, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, August 2, 2019 at the age of 76. Jim was the son of George Harvey and Blanche Frances (Pojawa) Stetler, born September 3, 1942 in Jackson, Michigan. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia of 36 years, son, Mark (Dawn) Cyphers; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; sister Lyn (Steve) Bartels. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Terry and Kimberly Ward. He was a graduate of St. Mary High School and University of Michigan with his Bachelor of Science in History. Jim served his country in the United States Air Force Reserves for six years as a Second Lieutenant. He retired from Clark Equipment Company after 21 years of service. Jim then went to work for the Melilot Cabinet Company in Adrian, MI for six years. He was a member of Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church and The Exchange Club in Statesville North Carolina. Jim loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, reading and setting looking at the Christmas tree. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass with will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic, Church 1111 Carlton Blvd, Jackson, MI 49203 Friday, August 9, 2019 at 11:00am, Father Tim MacDonald officiating. Memorial contributions in memory of Jim may be made to Queen of the Miraculous Catholic Church or the family.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00am until the time of Mass at 11:00am.
