Of Jackson, went to be with the Lord on June 19, 2018, at the age of 89. Howard was the son of Ralph and Lulan (Bissett) Henry, born August 8, 1928 in Toledo, OH. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Nancie (Mick) Henry; four children, David (Carol), Judy Johnson (Ray), Douglas (Carol), and John (Diana). Step children; D’Mark Mick (Cathy), Max (Mary), Marci Trahern (Gene), and Michael (Loni); 11 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; siblings Robert O’Henry and Lulan (Henry) Dean. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one grandchild. Howard is a graduate of Spring Arbor College and Michigan State University. He was an Educator for over 30 years, a member of Gideons International and attended Trinity Wesleyan Church. He was an avid birder, world traveler, storyteller, and served the Lord on numerous mission trips. He spent 42 consecutive years organizing and leading trips to Chicago, Toronto and Washington D.C. for elementary schools and helped thousands of children build birdhouses in their classrooms. His family wishes to thank all that attended his “Celebration of Life” event on May 6, 2018.
