Of Jackson, MI passed away at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the age of 79. He was the son of Franklin and Elizabeth (Heinrich) Phillips, born November 17, 1939 in Ogden Station, MI. Frank is survived by his son, Franklin W. (Cathie) Phillips of Horton; two grandchildren, Christie L. (Phil) Huber and Franklin C. “Frankie” Phillips; three sisters, Susan Sitterly, Verna Jones, and Lisa (Jerry) Marlett; brother, Arnold (Kathy) Phillips; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charline “Char”, and his parents. Frank was a graduate of Adrian High School and Jackson Community College. He worked as an engineer at Aeroquip Co. and then became an owner of several small businesses where he retired in 2002. Frank enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, traveling, woodworking, camping, and working in his yard. A celebration of his life will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 12:00p.m., Michael D. Mason officiating. Interment at Spring Arbor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home, 2150 Kingsbrooke Dr., Jackson, MI 49202.
The family will receive friends at Watson Funeral Chapel on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 1:00-4:00pm and on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 11:00am until the time of service.
