Evelyn M. Pederson

86 of Jackson, Michigan passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Arbor Manor Care Center. Evelyn was the daughter of Hallet K. and Beatrice May (Walton) Stoddard, born October 9, 1932 in Jackson, MI. She is survived by two daughters, Marsha (Fred) Fischmeister and Marla (Wayne) Thuma; three grandchildren, Sara Fischmeister, James (Alex) Fischmeister, and Bruce Lamb; two great-grandchildren, Ryaleigh Piper, Payton Lamb and several grand puppies; brother, Kenneth Stoddard; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; special friend, Norma Melville. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Kevin Lamb; sister-in-law Arelene Stoddard. She was graduate of Jackson High School. Her working career started with L.H. Fields till they closed the doors; she then went to J.C. Penny’s where she retired after many years of service. Evelyn loved playing Bingo and going to the casino. When playing cards, it was always her goal to win. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at the House of Prayer PCG, 1056 Bryant Avenue, Jackson, Michigan 49202 on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 3:00pm, Reverend Vince Bridge officiating. Memorial contributions in memory of Evelyn may be made to Cascades Humane Society, 1515 Carmen Drive, Jackson, MI 49202.
