Eva Mae (Bevis) Mizerik

Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by her adoring family on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the age of 90. She was the daughter of Doyle and Minnie (Wright) Bevis, born August 1, 1928 in Ethridge, TN.  Eva will be fondly remembered by her children, Larry (Debbie) Mizerik, Marilyn (Stewart) Vanderpool, Michael (Donna) Mizerik, and Evelyn (Greg) Schultz; Grandchildren Eran, Michele, Lindsay, Steve, Matthew, Sarah, Lauren and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Brady, Melissa, Eva, Katelyn, Luke, Lucy, Ella, Eli, Vivianna, Joel and Charlotte; sister, Lucille; her Aunt Marie; many nieces and nephews. Eva was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Paul; her daughter, Paula; her parents; grandchildren, Eric Vanderpool and Melissa Schultz. Eva dearly loved spending time with her family and was a wonderful cook. The family would like to give a special acknowledgement to dear friends and neighbors, Gary and Carol Phillips, Jane Eckert, all the special neighbors and friends and The Comfort Care Staff at Henry Ford Allegiance for their wonderful care of our mom. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 11:00 am, Father Chas Canoy officiating, interment St. John Cemetery following. In lieu of flowers, in memory of Eva, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 2265 Livernois Road, Troy, MI 48083.  Visitation at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00pm and again at the church Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00.
