Edgar Roger Fiorentino " Uncle Eddie"

Of Jackson, MI got his wings on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the age of 95. Edgar was the son of Ruggiero and Ersilia (D’Agostino) Fiorentino, born May 3, 1924 in Detroit, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Louis (Joyce) Fiorentino; sister, Mary (James) Reynolds; niece, Debra Agosti; and dear friend, Jean Frost from England. Edgar is survived by three nieces, Kathleen (George) Veach, Virginia Collins, Candace (Manfred) Majer; three nephews, Ronald (Karen) Reynolds, Greg (Karen) Fiorentino, Albert Agosti; many other great and great-great nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was a graduate of Detroit Western High School in 1942. After high school he served his country proudly during WWII in the United States Army. Edgar worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 35 years. He volunteered for the Greater Detroit Agency for the Blind and Visually Impaired, loved his ice cream, coney dogs, fishing, and traveling. Edgar dearly loved spending time with his dear friend, Jean in England, people, and living in Jackson after moving here from Detroit.

According to wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, 1111 Carlton Blvd., Jackson, MI 49203 on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 11:30am with Fr. Timothy MacDonald officiating. Interment at Fort Custer National Cemetery with honors will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lingap Children’s Foundation, P.O. Box 1553, Jackson, MI 49204.

The family will receive friends at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 5:00 - 8:00pm with a rosary at 6:30pm and at the church on Friday from 10:30am until the time of mass.
