Diane Lee (Chanter) (King) Hensley

Of Jackson, MI passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the age of 73. She was the daughter of Donald and Arlene (Perkins) Chanter, born October 19, 1945 in Jackson, MI. Diane is survived by her husband, Harland of 17 years; daughter, Laura (George) Austin; two other special daughters, Jennifer (Jim) Austin, and Kimberly Adee (Adam); grandchildren, Sydney, Cassandra, Gabriel, Samantha, Camden, Hayden, Annaston; and one great-granddaughter, Teaghan; plus many other family and friends, especially best friend Bonnie Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her parents, and longtime companion Ralph. Diane was a 1963 graduate of Jackson High School. She drove school bus for Northwest Schools for several years, and a room mother and band booster member for many years. Diane retired from CP Federal Credit Union in 2002. She loved her family, friends, and especially her two cats, Mitzi and Morti. Her smile, humor, and loving caring heart will be deeply missed! Thank you for being the best mom, Grammie, and wife ever! A celebration of her life will be held at Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 11:00am; Brad Schweda officiating. According to her wishes cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Diane may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.

The family will receive friends at Watson Funeral Chapel on Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 2:00-6:00pm and on Monday from 10:00am until the time of service.
