On November 4, 2018, at the age of 78 Delores went home to be with the Lord and was reunited with her husband of 47 years, Phil. Delores was born on March 11, 1940, in Jackson, MI, to Theodore and Alice Inman. She is survived by her three children Lisa (Jim) Griffis, Annette (David) Fuhrwerk, Phillip (Karin) Wright, brother Robert Inman, sister Betty Sexton, grandchildren Joshua (Katlyn), Caleb (Brooklyn), Nate, Alexa, Kendra, and Emily, several nieces and nephews, and her lifelong friend of 50 years, Theola Curey. Delores was preceded in death by her husband Phil, her parents, brother David Inman, and sister Judy Bigford. Delores loved to spend time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Lansing Avenue Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved her church family and enjoyed writing letters to missionaries. Delores retired from Northwest Schools where she was a playground supervisor for many years. She also enjoyed monthly lunches with her former coworkers and friends. A special thank you to Terry and Ruth Ellen Howdyshell and Tom and Deb Harmon for all the love and care provided over the last several years. A memorial service life will be held at Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at 10:30 am. A private interment will take place at Roseland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Jackson Christian Schools, 4200 Lowe Rd., Jackson, MI 49203 in honor of Delores Wright.
Visitation will take place on Friday, November 9 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of service.
