Candace (Candy) Renae (DeCoste) McKnight

Loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away suddenly at her home on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the age of 63. Candy was the daughter of William and Geraldine DeCoste born July 26, 1955 in Jackson, Michigan. She is survived by her loving husband Timothy of 42 years; two sons, Kevin (Nikki) McKnight and David McKnight; sister Brenda (Douglas) Schedeler; sister-in-law of Sean (Karen) McKnight, Eilish (Tim) Toland and Kathleen (Rich) Hoskins; five grandchildren, Rileigh, Declan, Rory, Kellan and Quentin McKnight; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Virtus and Sylvia Buzbee, and William (Barney) and Mabel DeCoste. Candy was a graduate of Jackson High School and Jackson Community College with her Associate degree. She worked as a caseworker at the Michigan Department of Social Services in Jackson, Michigan. Candy enjoyed cooking, baking, scrapbooking and crafting and going to the casino. The love of her life was taking care of her grandchildren, and being with her family. A celebration of her life will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 11:00 am, Michael D. Mason officiating, interment Roseland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Candy may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202 or the charity of choice.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00am.
