It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brad on Monday, May 21, 2018 at the age of 89 years. Knowing he is in the arms of his Lord, able to golf and walk without pain is comforting. He is with the love of his life, Lois E. Woodhurst whom he was married for 67 1/2 years. He was predeceased by his son, Rodney, his parents, Allan and Pearl Phipps of Carsonville, Michigan, sisters, Mildred Whiting, Ersel Getsinger Boileau, Laureta Hawkins, and his brother, Leonard Phipps. Brad is survived by his sister, Beverly Wiedefeld in California and nieces and nephews. He was the devoted, and dearly loved father of Deborah (Debbi) Brown of Waterdown, Ontario. Loving Grandfather of Justin (Jennifer) Brown of Ayr, Ontario, Jordan Brown of Dahlgren, Virginia and Courtenay Brown of Waterdown, Ontario. Brad was also very proud of his great grandson, Braydon Brown of Ayr, Ontario. He worked at Camshaft Machine for 40 years. Brad started the Spring Arbor Golf League in 1961 and loved his weekly fellowship with his golfing buddies, and golfed 143 times last year. He was a member of the Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church for almost 70 years and was the head usher since 1949. Brad ran the church pantry for 25 years and it was a labour of love for him.
