Of Horton, Michigan went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home with her loving family by her side at the age of 89. Bonnie was the daughter of Loren and Leota (Tuttle) Payne born September 18, 1930 at home in “Paynesville” near Vandercook Lake. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Charles McClure; four children, Gary (Patricia) Spink, John (Charlotte) Spink, Raymond (Karen) Spink and Peggy (Kim) Sprague; three step-children, Wayne McClure, Lonna (Mark) Spangenberg and Lynn Winn; eight grandchildren, Megan (Steven) Hall, Jason (Shannon) Spink, Travis (Jody) Spink, Rillie (Jack) Thilo, Mindy (Eric) Bialczyk, Scott (Jennifer) Spink, Julie (Cory) Glover, and Michael (Leta) Sprague; five step-grandchildren, Matt (Stephanie) McClure, Valerie (Nick) Searfoss, Jet Truitt, Margie Truitt and Bobbi Jo Truitt; 28 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Carolyne Payne and Helen Payne; special niece, Tiffany Payne; special friends, Sharon McWhirter and Bob Clemens. Bonnie was preceded in death by her first husband Lee M. Spink; her parents; two brothers, Carl Payne and Bob Payne.
She was a graduate of Hanover High School. Her working career was bus driver for Hanover-Horton School District and part owner and operator of the family business “Little Green Acres Sod Farm.” Bonnie really enjoyed traveling and many family events. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 12240 E. Chicago Road, Somerset Center, MI 49282 on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11:00am with Pastor Brian Hendrick officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date in Horton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Bonnie may be made to Grace Baptist Church or Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home, 2150 Kingsbrooke Drive, Jackson, MI 49202.
The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am.
