Beverly "Becky" Mae (Cramer) Cunningham

Of Spring Arbor, Michigan, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 20, 2018, at the age of 96. Beverly was the daughter of George and Dorothy (Rauch) Cramer, born May 7, 1922 in Hudson, Michigan. She was preceded in death by husbands Kenneth Cunningham and William H. Schwartz, granddaughter Traci Ann Peterson of Summerville, SC, sister, Bernadine (Clarence) Little of Hanover, MI, brother, George Melvin (Alice) Cramer of Madison, WI. Beverly is survived by her daughter, Kris Dee Peterson of Bradenton, FL; granddaughter, Trudi Kae Peterson of Monmouth, IL and great-granddaughter Kelsey (Gnade) Couthard of Charleston, SC, three nephews, Mark (Lynda) Little of Horton, MI, Craig (Shelly) Little of Concord, MI and David (Dawn) Cramer of Madison, WI.  Beverly married Kenneth Cunningham in 1943; her second marriage to William H. Schwartz who was Postmaster of Flint, MI from 1973 until his death. She graduated from Mercy School of Nursing in Jackson, MI in 1943. Retired as a Postmaster of Spring Arbor in 1980 after 20 years of service.  Beverly was Chairperson of Spring Arbor Historical Committee when township historical book was published, “Spring Arbor 1830-1980,” and Falling Waters Park when it was dedicated in 1995. She was Jackson Citizen Patriot Distinguished Citizen in 1996, and Parma- Spring Arbor Lions Club Citizen of the Year in 1999. Beverly was a member of Michigan Nurses Association, Michigan National Association of Postmasters, Michigan Postmaster Association, Women’s Club of Jackson, Spring Arbor Historical Committee, and Parma-Spring Arbor Lion’s Club. According to her wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at Sandstone Congregational Church, 250 S. Sandstone Rd. on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 11am, Reverend Dr. Brad Smith officiating; inurnment will take place at Spring Arbor Cemetery at a later date for family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Beverly Cunningham to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home, 2150 Kingsbrooke Dr., Jackson, MI, 49202.

The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, July 26, 2018 and Saturday 9:30am until time of service at 11am at Sandstone Congregational Church,
