Ann Marie Gibbs

Of Jackson, MI passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the age of 83.  She was the daughter of Rollo and Eva Hastings born on June 12, 1935 in Albion, MI.  Ann is survived by four children, Beth (Chris) Case, Ken (Colleen) Gibbs, Luanne (Raul) Chavez, Suzanne (Mark) Haas; eight grandchildren, Kellie (Cory) Lammers, Kerrie L’Heureux, Joe Gibbs, Mike Gibbs, Melvin Haas, Mason Haas, Clint (Renetta) Chavez, and Jessica Chavez; five great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis (Roger) Mootz; numerous nieces and nephews; her fur baby, Hunny Bear; and longtime friend, Clara Tate. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Gibbs; her parents; and brother, Warren Hastings. Ann was an avid gardener, reader, artist, and kayaker. She enjoyed walking her fur baby at Cascades, and spending time with her family. A celebration of her life will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, October 23, at 10:30am, Father Tim Nelson officiating.  Interment St. John’s Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00pm and on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 10:00am until the time of service at 10:30am.
