The beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend Alice Neva Baxter left this world unexpectedly and received her angel wings on November 1, 2019, born to Amy and Carl Baxter on September 1, 2000 in Jackson, Michigan. She attended St. Mary’s Star of the Sea, graduated from Hanover-Horton high school with honors and currently a sophomore at Eastern Michigan University, majoring in criminal justice and psychology.
She is survived by her beloved parents, dogs Frankie and Jax, her grandmother Pamela “Grammy” Postma, Edward “Papa” Cyphers, Thomas and Laura Stilson, Uncle Chuck and Aunt Cheryl, Ian and Ethan Baxter, Uncle Daniel, Lillian and Davalyn Sweet. Aunt Tammi and Taylor Stilson, Isabel and Carlo Ramos. Uncle Tom and Aunt Renee, Sydney, Reid and Elyse Stilson and Aunt Nikki Stilson. Also special Great-Aunts, Jeanette Wedding and Mary Jean Westerlund. Her “second” families, Ed, Vickey and Mackenzie Rowley and Mike, Denise, Clayton and Carter Schick. She is preceeded in death by her grandparents Carl C. Baxter, David and Sue Sweet.
Alice was a lover of books, animals, makeup and fashion. She was funny, outgoing, and vivacious. We always remember her infectious smile and laughter, beautiful brown eyes and caring personality. Her presence in our lives will sorely be missed. When you think of Alice, celebrate the good memories you have of her, remember life is short and should be lived to the fullest.
According to family wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration of Alice’s life will be held at Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson, on Saturday November 9, 2019, at 12:00 p.m., Pastor David McDonald officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Alice may be made to the Cascades Humane Society, 1515 Carmen Drive, Jackson, Michigan 49202.
