A. Grace Oakley

Of Jackson, MI, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019. She is survived by her nieces, Mary Ann (Oakley) (Ron) Morris, Katherine (Oakley) (Fred) Alexander, Susan (Oakley) (Norman) Sullivan, Martha (Oakley) Sweet, Carol (Oakley) Allen, Nancy (Oakley) Cable, Marilyn (Orgeck) (Don) Williamson; nephews Larry Orgeck (Pam), Douglas Rogell (Denise), friend/Sister Mary Dodge (Louie), and many other close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Alice Oakley; sisters and brothers, Eleanor, Edna, Robert, and Rex. Grace worked at Woolworth from 1950—1975 as Personal Manager, then went into Real Estate in July 1975 with Cunliffe Real Estate, in 1979 joined the Jackson Board of Realtors and went to several other Real Estate Agencies, and in December of 2003 transferred to EXIT Realty 1st. In August 2010 the JAAR Board of Directors granted her a Lifetime Membership having 25 years of consecutive years of membership. She was a member of the Standard Forms Committee and the Membership Committee. She also served on the Holiday Party Task Force, GMM Task Force and the Anniversary Task Force. She was also a long-standing member of the Million Dollar Club from 1994—2010. Grace is at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson where a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 11:00 am, Pastor Ken Pierpont officiating, Interment following in Hillcrest Memorial Park. A Grace memorial has been established by EXIT Realty 1st in partnership with Jackson Area Association of Realtors. Visitation will be Friday, April 5, 2019 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm.
