Dennis Timothy Rey

Eternal rest grant unto Dennis, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Dennis Timothy Rey, 38, of Jackson, Michigan, entered into eternal life on April 15, 2024.  Thank you, God our Father, for the gift of Dennis’ life. 

Dennis was the beloved son of Timothy Donald and Mary Patricia (Wandor) Rey. He was born in Midland, Michigan, on February 22, 1986 – sharing a birthday with his Grandpa Wandor.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Emily Sue (Thornton) Rey, of six years and their daughter, Zoey Lynn (5 yrs), mother Mary, father Timothy, mother-in-law Cari, sisters Jennifer (Phillip) Miller and Kathleen, brother Michael, brother-in-law Andrew (Haylee), nieces Teagan, Violet, Eliana, and Mary Emma, nephews Kade, Becket, and Shep, and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles, including his godparents, David and Mary Ann Wandor.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and June Rey and Thaddeus and Patrica Wandor, aunts Nancy and Debbie, uncle Dennis, and cousin Brandon.

Dennis worked hard to support his family as lead test technician at Eaton Corporation.  From an early age, Dennis enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing with dad, building and fixing anything, sports, trucks, and playing guitar. Dennis loved his family and grew up surrounded by his siblings and cousins, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.  Dennis took Emily and Zoey on many adventures, frequenting Silver Lake Sand Dunes. They recently fulfilled his dream of an RV trip to the Smoky Mountains.

Son. Brother. Cousin. Friend. Husband. Father. We love Dennis, and we commend his soul to God.  “For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” (John 6:40).  Please pray for the repose of Dennis’ soul and for his family.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 22, 2024, from 2 to 6 p.m. (Rosary at 5:30 p.m.) at Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, Michigan.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 11 a.m. preceded by visitation at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 913 Napoleon Road, Michigan Center, Michigan.
